Handwarmers

What colours of handwarmers would you all like to see? I’m making some more rainbow ones, but maybe a bit of variation might be more interesting.

Postcarding Adventures

So, I’ve just been faffing about making some comics postcardy for that project you can donate to. In a strange turn of events, comics that are your favourites and also postcardable are not at all about polyamory. I’d be worried, but you lot voted, so I can’t argue with that, yes?

Here are the ones that work best. Cleek for the full image:

8. Political Correctness Gone Strange
64. Rapture
69. Bits

83. Cold Confused Caller
88. Notice

Mx

You probably already know that I bang on about Mx and Misc as a gender-neutral title all the damn time.

Do you live in the UK? If so, here is a cool petition you can sign.

Even if the government ignore us in terms of making laws and things, and they probably will, it’ll be an interesting experiment to see how many people use or support the availability of a gender-neutral title. I’ll be able to say “also over 357,000 people like Mx; put it on your form, Tesco Online!” etc.

So far: 5 signatures. *cough*

A book

by Cassian on November 5, 2011

I am looking into getting a book uploaded to Lulu.com, as per the recommendation of the excellent and non-fictional Dr Love. It looks to be about £23, perhaps a bit more or less. I’m not sure if this is too much, but even if I’m the only one that orders one, at least it’ll be an interesting adventure, yes?

Hmmmmm.

Or I could approach actual publishers.

Are any of you published and/or experienced in the ways of publishing? Do you have any advice or ideas? Please witter in the comments, or tell me in a comment that you’d like to email. All wittering is very much appreciated.

Strike a pose

Two most excellent people have recently received handwarmers, and I wanted to show you how fabulous they make the handwarmers look, so here I am plastering some more photos on my blog! Bring it awn, I hear you cry.

Here we have Caytlin (@cvilbrandt), RAWKing out. I love the facial expression! Reminds me of Bill Bailey. A YouTube video, let me show you it.

A woman with bright orange hair, wearing glasses, poses with her fist with little and index fingers extended in the "metal" gesture, wearing rainbow knit handwarmers.

I would also like to add that Caytlin is part of one of my favourite comics, Walking on Broken Glass. Good if you like paranormal office dramady romances, yes indeed.

Also, Wardrox (twitter / tumblr) tells me that this is where the handwarmers from that auction will be until summer:

A hand resting on a computer mouse. The hand is wearing a handwarmer knit in the asexual flag colours of black, grey, white and purple.

I heartily approve! Thank you both. 🙂 Please show your appreciation for these wonderful beings by visiting their sites and stalking their social media.
