*dreamy sigh* i just tried to imagine how a poly-world would look like: no more muders out of jealousy, far less divorces and single-raising parents, all kids have at least two parents and lots of uncles, aunts and half-siblings…it would be perfect! well, except the soap operas would be far more boring 😉 then again, the writers would be challenged to come up with something more creative as the same old ‘i cheated on you!’ ‘you bastard!’ which means we might actually get to see some GOOD tv every once in a while…*dreams*
… I might actually play about with writing a script or short story or something revolving around polyamory and other issues. I think I’d find it to be a great way to explore them, and the ideas surrounding them, as I’ve become almost curious to the point of fascination recently. I guess, in a way, your comics help you explore thoughts as well…
thanks for the link, i just checked out the first ep and it´s great! i love how natural they act, laughing with each other, yet there´s also a hint of seriousness…my favourite line -so far- : you´re just jealous cause i currently have a boyfriend and you don´t! show me one other soap where a girlfriend says that to her boyfriend 😉
Also, I don’t think a poly world would be that utopian. As a matter of fact, a couple of years ago, a girl was murdered by her boyfriend because they were in a live-in triad with his wife and the girl broke up with them. So the guy tracked the girlfriend to her mother’s house & killed her, then himself (I think). The wife was the only one interviewed for the article.
BTW, if anyone can find an article about that story, I’m looking for it to archive.
